Our Staff

All employees are subject to a background screening under The National Child Protection Act (1993), as amended, and section 943.0542, Florida Statutes (1999).  Information is provided through the VECHS program, FDLE and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).  State and national criminal history information is provided on applicants, employees, and volunteers.


We are extremely proud of our excellent part time and full-time employees! Our staff is part of the consistent care provided to our youth.  All  employees are required to follow state regulations that apply to training. Our staff receive training 1st Aid/CPR, Infectious Disease Control, Injury Prevention, curriculum implementation and more.  The staff is encouraged to further their education through local trainings offered by the local college and universities.  Below is a list of the training that our staff receives.



  1. State of Florida mandated childcare training
  • 40 Hours of training which consists of the following:
    - Childcare Facilities State & Local Rules & Regulations (6 hrs)
                - Behavioral Observation and Screening (6 hrs)
                - Child Growth and Development (6 hrs)
                - Health, Safety and Nutrition (8 hrs)
                - Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect (4 hrs)
